Continue cycling along the north side of the Canal Du Midi until you reach Carcassonne.

 

Historical Information

 

Aqueduc de Rebenty.  Here the Canal Du Midi traverses the Rebenty Creek.  It is 25 meters long by 6 meters high.  There are 4 arches, each one 2.6 meters wide.  It got renovated in 2010.

 

Ecluse de Beteille, 1678, single lock.  Km 86.309  Height 2.25 m.  Lunch stop for the ancient mail boat on their second day sailing from Toulouse.
