Poilhes. The red metal pedestrian bridge dates from 1927, and was build by the local military garrison so that its commander could more easily visit his mistress. The two cannons in the port are English cannons. The F on the trunnion is most likely the mark of the founder John Fuller V who ran the foundry of Heathfield from 1679 to 1745. (source).
Régismont-le-Haut. Situated between Poilhes and the Malpas Tunnel, here archaeologists have found a 30,000 year old settlement. It is on the north side of the Canal Du Midi.
