There is also an ancient washing station here, where locals would wash their clothes back in the day. It is located opposite the guard house, and a few meters upstream.
Note that the name of the next lock is spelled St Servin on the panel here, but in reality it is St Sernin. These kind of "errors" are common on these panels.
